Founders Policy Group Expands Practice with Strategic Advisor Crystal Bowyer
Founders Policy Group (FPG) announces an expansion of its work with nonprofit organizations, led by Strategic Advisor Crystal Bowyer.
WASHINGTON, DC — September 17, 2026 —Founders Policy Group (FPG) today announced an expansion of its work with nonprofit organizations, led by Strategic Advisor Crystal Bowyer, who joins the firm effective immediately.
Building on the firm’s existing work with nonprofit and association clients, Bowyer will lead an expanded focus on helping mission-driven organizations navigate public policy, strengthen government and philanthropic engagement, build public-private partnerships and coalitions, and advance ambitious organizational and sector-wide priorities.
Bowyer brings more than two decades of experience working across technology, government, philanthropy, education, business, and the nonprofit sector. In addition to advising nonprofit organizations and cultural institutions, she has developed partnerships and initiatives with some of the world’s leading technology, aerospace, and media companies, including Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Spotify, Boeing, Paramount, and United Airlines.
She has worked with corporate partners on initiatives spanning educational technology and experiences, digital content, product and exhibit development, philanthropy, and public engagement. Bowyer also advises technology and artificial intelligence companies on public policy, strategy, partnerships, and product development, with particular expertise in products and platforms serving children and families.

Throughout her career, Bowyer has worked extensively with government leaders to advance public policy, secure public funding, and build bipartisan coalitions. She has successfully secured federal funding through both the U.S. House and Senate, spearheaded the development and introduction of bipartisan, bicameral federal legislation, and developed partnerships with numerous federal agencies.
Bowyer previously served as President and CEO of the congressionally designated National Children’s Museum in Washington, DC, and as Chief Strategy and External Affairs Officer at the Griffin Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. Across those roles, she led organizational strategy, government and external affairs, fundraising, partnerships, and major growth initiatives.
Bowyer also has extensive experience advancing policy priorities on behalf of the broader nonprofit, museum, arts, and cultural sectors. She served as Vice President and Secretary of the Board of Trustees and Chair of the Advocacy Committee for the Association of Children’s Museums, as well as a member of its Executive and Governance Committees. Her work includes building advocacy coalitions, aligning policy priorities across organizations, cultivating bipartisan relationships with policymakers and government agencies, and advocating for recognition of nonprofit and cultural institutions as important educational, civic, and economic assets.
About Crystal Bowyer
Crystal Bowyer is a chief executive, strategist, and public policy advisor who advises organizations, boards, civic leaders, and technology companies on public policy, organizational strategy, public-private partnerships, coalition building, philanthropy, and long-term growth. She was named to the Washington Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 and was honored by National Children’s Museum at its 50th Anniversary Gala. Bowyer earned a Master of Nonprofit Administration from the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business, where she received the Dean Woo Fellowship for Leadership, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri.
